Well Baby Clinics

The first set of vaccinations your baby will need is at 8 weeks, please be aware the baby cannot be any younger than 8 weeks old when having these vaccinations.

Postnatal Clinics

We advise that new mothers needing a postnatal clinic, book in with us at 8 weeks. At this appointment the GP does all of the baby and mother checks and the baby will also get their 8 week immunisations.

Maternity Care

Antenatal and postnatal services are available at all surgeries. Please ask for details at reception.  

Child Immunisations

Any other child immunisations including pre-school jabs/booster jabs can be booked into a routine nurses appointment at the surgery. Please contact reception to book an appointment with us.

Contraceptive Services

We advise all patients to have a routine appointment with a GP initially before starting any form of contraception.

For Coil/Implant removal and re-fitting contact our Reception team to book you an appointment for either of these procedures.

Contraceptive Pill, please be aware we cannot give you a repeat prescription for the pill until you have had a routine nurses appointment, in which you will be given your repeat prescription.

Cervical Smears

Currently you can only have a smear from aged 25 years onwards. You should receive a letter when your smear is due, and you will then need to book an appointment with the nurse. Ages 25-49 you require a smear every 3 years, ages 50-64 you will require a smear every 5 years and those over 65 will only require a smear if you haven't been screened since the age of 50 or you have received an abnormal smear result in the past.

Minor Surgery

We offer a joint injection service at the surgery. To be considered for a joint injection you will first require a routine GP appointment, please be aware you may be placed on a waiting list and called when there are appointments available. For more information please contact Reception.

Asthma & Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease 

To have an Asthma or COPD appointment you will need to book into a routine appointment with the nurse. It is also recommended that you have a yearly review appointment to ensure good health and effective management of Asthma or COPD.

Diabetic

Patients should make an appointment with the Diabetic Doctor annually and an appointment with the Diabetic nurse between annual appointments. Please be aware you MAY be asked to have a blood test prior to this appointment. This test will need to be taken at least one week before the appointment with the GP/Nurse.  

Weight Reduction Clinic

Appointments can be made to see a Practice Nurse if you would like advice on losing weight.

Cryosurgery Clinic 

Are normally held monthly with Dr Buckley or Dr Rajagopal. You may be added to a waiting list and later contacted with the dates and times of the clinic.

Private Services

There are some services that we provide that are not covered under the Health Service and for these there is a charge. These include: Private Medical Certificates, Driving Medicals, Employment Medicals and Reports, Health Insurance Reports, Claim Forms and certain vaccinations. A full list of the fees are displayed at both Practices.
