Temporary Residents

Why would I need to be Temporarily Registered?

If you are visiting a family member/friend from out of the area and you require medical attention from a G.P. then we would need to register you temporarily.

Alternatively if you have returned home from University and you require medical attention you will also need to temporarily register with us.

Temporarily registering at our surgery means that you can receive medical attention from us for up to 3 months time. During this time you will still be registered with your usual GP practice.

How do I temporarily register?

To become a temporary resident with us, you will need to come into the surgery and fill out one of our 'Temporary Resident' forms. We do require a photocopy of any photographic ID that you may have on you OR two forms of proof of address.

Please note we cannot book an appointment for you until after you are temporarily registered with us.

Will I need to register with my usual GP practice again once I return home?

No, you will not need to do anything else once you no longer require our services. You will not be removed from your usual GP practice if you register as a temporary resident elsewhere.
